As
a clinical forensic psychologist my work includes psychological
evaluations of civil litigants, criminal defendants and immigration
hardship applicants. The assessments that I perform (see below
examples) are designed to provide objective information for use by a
third party, e.g., court system, attorney, private business,
insurance company or government agency but can also be used to assist
with treatment planning. To remain objective and avoid conflicting
interests, I usually do not become involved in rendering
treatment for clients involved in these cases. I currently devote 65%
of my time to working with individuals and their attorneys on a
